Our Approach
We know that today’s students face more challenges in school than ever before. From busy extracurricular schedules to technological distractions, there are many reasons that students may need additional support to excel in school. That’s why our tutors use a holistic approach to supplement what they are learning in school and help ensure they are on track for success.
Students’ sessions at The Tutors will be tailored to their individual needs. Before they even crack open a textbook, our tutors first get to know their students and identify the challenges they are facing. We then set strategic goals suited to the student’s strengths, challenges, personality, and goals.
When it comes to learning, there are no gimmicks nor cookie-cutter solutions. Every student is different, and we take pride in finding the right tactics to address the learning challenges of each one.
Our Clients
Because each student is unique, our tutors work with clients at every level of learning. Our clients are primarily local high school and middle school students, but we offer tutoring for college students as well. Some of our clients are seeking short-term test prep assistance, while others may want more consistent tutoring throughout the academic year. We have also worked with students facing a range of learning obstacles, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and anxiety. Whether you’re facing major learning challenges or just need a little extra help with a difficult class, we will be there to guide you through it.

The mission of The Tutors is to provide elite one-on-one tutoring and mentoring. We aim to meet students’ individual needs, whether they are aspiring for the Ivy League or just trying to survive high school. Our goal is to offer insightful and empathetic guidance to our students as they pursue their academic goals. We succeed when our students succeed.
More About Us
Family owned by brothers Faris and Zane Haykal, The Tutors was founded in February of 2017 to help students excel academically. We are a local tutoring agency offering academic assistance in all standard subject areas to students from private and public schools across the Memphis area.
On any given day in our East Memphis office, you will find our dedicated team of knowledgeable tutors working with students at every level of learning. We meet students where they are, address their challenges and obstacles, and mentor them on their academic journey. More than simply teaching course material, our focus is on developing good learning habits. We believe that, with the right process and work ethic in place, the results will follow.
